International Symposium on Amir Timur and Izmir
The Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and the Institute of the Turkic World Studies at the Ege University organize a joint symposium titled “Amir Timur and Izmir”. The conference is also open to the proposals that are not related to Izmir.
The conference is held in Izmir on November 26-27, 2021, preferably in both offline and online form depending on the course of the pandemic process. The participants, who cannot or do not visit the conference even though it is possible to make it in offline form, are provided to make their presentations live via internet facilities, and all presentations is broadcasted live on YouTube.
The symposium is in international character, and papers are accepted in Turkish, Uzbek, English and Russian. The proceeding book will be published in Tashkent and Izmir as a joint publication of the two organizing institutes.
There is no fee for participation. All expenses for accommodation and travel in Izmir will be covered by the Institute of the Turkic World Studies, and travel expenses to and from Izmir are covered by participants.
Proposals are reviewed by the scientific committee and there will be immediate contact after a proposal is accepted. You can send your proposals including the title and the summary of the paper to the following addresses by September 30, 2021:
